Retinal Surgeries Restore Vision Despite War & Shortages

666 days of war have exhausted both eyes and hearts yet in Gaza, there are still those who refuse to let the light go out.

From the 39th medical mission, Dr. Youssef Helmy, a retinal surgeon, stood alongside the exhausted local medical teams to perform delicate surgeries that restore vision to those who were forcibly deprived of it. He also offered genuine support to his colleagues in the field after months of relentless work and tireless effort.
