How 20 Qurbani Became 1,000 Moments of Relief

In Homs, Eid did not feel complete in many homes until the Qurbani arrived, carrying with it a sense of warmth, comfort, and reassurance.

Through the “Rahma Qurbani Project 2026,” 20 Qurbani sacrifices were carried out, providing more than 300 food shares to over 1,000 people from vulnerable families, including residents of the Syrian Red Crescent shelters in Baba Amr and the Mahmoud Othman Shelter in Al-Qusour.

In those moments, eyes spoke before words could, and a child’s smile was enough to capture the true meaning of Eid. Mothers received the food shares with prayers, children longed to feel the joy of Eid again, and homes that had endured so much finally felt, if only for a moment, that joy could still find its way back.

Because of your generosity, these Qurban were not simply meals. They were acts of mercy that restored the spirit of Eid and reminded struggling families that they are not forgotten.

في حمص لم تكن فرحة العيد مكتملة في كثير من البيوت حتى وصلت الأضاحي، حاملةً معها شيئًا من الطمأنينة والدفء.

ضمن مشروع "أضاحينا رحمة 2026"، تم تنفيذ 20 أضحية وتوزيع أكثر من 300 حصة غذائية، وصلت إلى أكثر من ألف شخص من العائلات المتعففة، ومن المقيمين في مركز إيواء الهلال الأحمر في بابا عمرو، ومركز إيواء محمود عثمان في حي القصور.

في تلك اللحظات كانت العيون تسبق الكلمات، وكانت ابتسامة طفل صغير كفيلة بأن تختصر معنى العيد كله.أمهاتٌ استقبلن الحصص بالدعاء، وأطفالٌ اشتاقوا لتجربة فرحة العيد من جديد، وبيوتٌ أنهكتها الظروف شعرت، ولو للحظات، أن الفرح ما زال قادرًا على الوصول.

بفضلكم لم تكن الأضاحي مجرد وجبات، بل كانت رحمةً أعادت للعيد روحه، وذكّرت قلوبًا متعبة أن الخير ما زال حاضرًا بين الناس.
