In Deir al-Zor, the crisis is no longer measured by numbers alone, but by lives changed overnight.
During a field visit conducted as part of Rahma Worldwide’s response to the floods and rising waters of the Euphrates River, the team witnessed the devastating impact on affected communities. Entire neighborhoods were flooded, families were displaced, and critical infrastructure was damaged.
In coordination with the Directorate of Social Affairs and alongside the efforts of the “Deir Al-Ezz Campaign,” the visit included displacement shelters and affected homes, where many families continue to face difficult conditions in the aftermath of the disaster.
Behind every flooded home is a family searching for safety, stability, and hope. In moments like these, every act of support can make a meaningful difference.

في دير الزور، لم تعد المأساة تُقاس بالأرقام وحدها، بل بحياةٍ تغيّرت بين ليلةٍ وضحاها.
ضمن زيارة ميدانية لفريق من منظمة رحمة حول العالم، في إطار الاستجابة الإنسانية للفيضانات وارتفاع منسوب نهر الفرات، تم الاطلاع على واقعٍ صعب خلّفته الكارثة، بعد أن غمرت المياه أحياءً كاملة وأجبرت العديد من العائلات على مغادرة منازلها.
وبالتنسيق مع مديرية الشؤون الاجتماعية، وبالتوازي مع جهود حملة "دير العز"، شملت الجولة مراكز الإيواء وعددًا من المنازل المتضررة، حيث لا تزال العديد من الأسر تواجه ظروفًا قاسية في ظل تداعيات الفيضانات.
خلف كل منزلٍ متضرر وأسرةٍ نازحة قصةٌ تبحث عن الأمان والاستقرار. وفي مثل هذه الظروف، يمكن لكل مساهمة أن تصنع فرقًا حقيقيًا.
