Simple words from Omar, but they capture part of the change he has felt since his eye surgery.
In Idlib, Syria, 11-year-old Omar Marhef Janoudi underwent the procedure through the Medical Support Program in Syria, implemented by Rahma Worldwide in partnership with JIGSAW. The surgery was successfully completed, and Omar is now continuing six months of medical follow-up while his vision takes time to improve. But in his everyday life, something has already changed: Omar is back at his institute, back to his studies, and back to the familiar rhythm of his days.
When we talk about the impact of medical care, sometimes no more is needed than this: a child feeling better, returning to his classroom, and moving forward with his day. Because successful care is measured not only by what happens in the operating room, but by what it helps a child regain afterward.

كلمات بسيطة من عمر، لكنها تختصر جزءًا كبيرًا من التغيير الذي شعر به بعد جراحة العيون.
في إدلب، سوريا، خضع عمر مرهف جانودي، البالغ من العمر 11 عامًا، للجراحة ضمن برنامج الدعم الطبي في سوريا، الذي تنفذه رحمة حول العالم بالشراكة مع JIGSAW. تكللت العملية بالنجاح، ويواصل عمر الآن متابعة طبية لمدة ستة أشهر، بينما يحتاج تحسّن نظره إلى بعض الوقت. لكن في يومه، حدث تغيير واضح؛ عاد عمر إلى معهده، واستأنف دراسته، وعاد إلى تفاصيل حياته اليومية.
وحين نتحدث عن أثر الرعاية الطبية، فربما لا نحتاج إلى أكثر من هذه الصورة: طفلٌ يشعر براحة أكبر، ويعود إلى مقعده الدراسي، ويكمل يومه. لأن نجاح العلاج لا يُقاس فقط بما يحدث داخل غرفة العمليات، بل بما يساعد الطفل على استعادته بعدها.
